Leave it to a good cause to make such a fun day

July 19 :: After our Mom had to cut her hair to "fill it out" until she is done with her treatments, Jen & I decided to donate our hair to Locks of Love — a great organization that makes wigs for kids who lose their hair due to any medical condition. Here are a few photos of our great day. Mom even came to document it with the camera.

Before.

Getting ready. Jen said she was so nervous. "Like a roller coaster" I believe she said... right before she closed her eyes. You'd never know she was so hesitant by how much she loved her new style. :)

AFTER!!

Doesn't our Mom look great? We love you Mom!!! This was for you. {Not to mention the fact that we are loving how fast and easy short is in the morning.}

Diane's Day

:: July 19 ::

My aunt Diane (Dad's sister) went through the temple for her first time and we all had the chance to be there with her. Mom & Dad flew in, Jen & Chris drove down and John & I went with her early Saturday morning. It was such a neat experience!

Yellowstone anniversary trip

John & I decided that since we were going to be at the cabins over June 15th, and he's never been, that we would spend a day in Yellowstone Park. Needless to say, we had so much fun. It was absolutely beautiful and parts of the higher elevations were even covered in 6 feet of snow still. Such a gorgeous drive and it was awesome showing it all to John for the first time. He was like a little kid with the hot pots and such. We have so many photos from the trip, but here are a few highlights.

In front of Yellowstone Lake Hotel. We ate at the restaurant inside which was so good... bison outside and inside. Best bison burger ever!

Old Faithful... downwind.

At Morning Glory... quite a walk at 7 months pregnant. I was swollen for days. :)

Never seen this geyser go off before... shot right over the river.

Taking a breather on the 3 mile loop from Morning Glory hot pot.

Buffalo on parade. Not the best shot I've ever taken from a moving vehicle, but I figure I'm not so spry and the bison are just a little bigger than I am.

Ahhh... Hebgen Lake at sunset. Doesn't get any better than this. Well, skiing at sunset is even better, but sacrificing a summer of waterskiing for the well-being of our baby on board is so worth it!

Yeah... this was a while ago, but I found the photos so thought y'all should see them anyway.

Okay, the Utah Jazz weren't completely successful this season, but they really did have a few moments of greatness, right? And they found themselves in the playoffs! Great for us since there really are a few great perks about where I work. Free Jazz playoffs tickets is just one of them and we had a blast! The seats were pretty far up and being a bit pregnant (yes, this was a couple of months ago now) it was a little uncomfortable, but definitely worth it. John even put on my favorite cheesy grin of his for the occasion!

John loved testing out the zoom on his camera... from where we were sitting this is an amazing shot!

Baby Jack's chariot

Proud papa. John put this together as soon as we got it all home. Euro-wheeled stroller and snap in newborn carseat in what I like to call mint chocolate chip. It even has one-hand gravity fold. I love this! Can't wait to use it.

Yep, we've been keeping the stroller in our bedroom... we are that excited.

Thank you to John's parents Meh' & Poh'... we love it!

Seven and a half

I think this was taken at the end of June. It's a shame it has taken me so long to get all these up!

San Francisco trip - a.k.a. Ann's wedding

Curse security! Now, I know it is absolutely necessary and it really does make me feel much safer to fly. But seriously! Trying to put my shoes back on while sitting on chairs that lean back was just too funny! {Notice this is before I swelled up more than the chick on Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.}

How cute is baby Jane?

Our table at the post-wedding-rehearsal dinner. Thanks again Colonel... best food around! I even managed to eat some rice which I've had an aversion to my entire pregnancy!

Me and baby Jerin, Sean & LaReen's cute baby.

John & Luke... sounds a little biblical, doesn't it?

For some reason, I don't have any photos from the awesome baby shower my mother-in-law and sister-in-law Mari threw for me. IHOP. Stuffed french toast. And the cutest loot I have received yet. Thank you everyone who came: Kiat, Toutu, Meh, Mari, Mali, LaReen, Ver, Thoun, even Tracy (you always did want to hang with the harem, right?). You arae all like sisters to me!

Meh (my mother in law), Mali and cute baby Jane.

Us.

May 29 - June 2 :: Here is a series from our fun but seriously swollen (on my part) San Francisco trip. :)

Memorial Day

John & I took a flag out to Grandpa & Grandma Boothe's grave in Wasatch Cemetery. It doesn't seem that long ago that Grandpa passed away. He was such an amazing example of what it really means to be Christlike and humble. Not to mention he had a hilarious sense of humor. I'm sad that he never had a chance to meet John, but I never seem to get tired of telling stories from all the good times Grandpa and I had. Especially stories about taking him a bit of contraband Coca-Cola into the hospital after his shenanigans (falling while watering the lawn etc.) or stories of his incessant but seriously hysterical flirting with the nurses in the rehabilitation center while he got his mobility back. I really miss him.

The Fab Four

May 16 - 18 :: Here's how I know the mettle of great friends... you can get together once a year, email every few months... and amazingly pick up right where you left off. We all started out at BYU and last year scattered across the western U.S. Luckily for the perpetuation of our Fab Four group, Carrie and Emily came into town for one last weekend before Jandee and I both have little boys within a few days of each other. Such good times. You three are the greatest!!! Cheesecake Factory, dancing in the fountain at BYU... not to mention our standard 3-day long chat session. I miss y'all!

Girls Weekend 2008

Here's Emma drying her newly painted toes. It was amazing how long we talked her into keeping her legs up in the air! :)

May 10 :: For the past few years, Jen & I get with our cute cousins Rachel & Emma to have our "Girls Weekend." Jen wrote a choose your own adventure book for them and we took them here and there having a fabulous time. Mimi's for lunch, trying on ridiculous dresses we would never buy, playing at the Treehouse in Ogden and hanging by the lake. Great times. We took so many photos it was tough to not put them all up here, but as I am catching up on the last few months... yeah. You'd be scrolling down for days. :)

Annual Flower Planting Day @ Grandma Reimschussel's

May 10 :: Jen ended up doing most of the planting in the backyard during the week, but we got up there for a Saturday morning and as usual had such a great time planting the flowers in the front yard. Plus the weather was perfect!
